Joy in Amali’s eyes

Joy in Amali’s eyes

For the sake of such eyes, our Foundation lives.
These are the eyes of baby Amali, who urgently needed our help. Therefore, we quickly reached out to our Foundation’s friends and were able to avoid opening a public fundraiser.
We’re excited to share Amali’s story and some joyful news with you.
At just 2 months old, Amalia was born with total paralysis of her right arm. Her arm was completely immobile, and she required immediate surgery.
The wonderful news is that on February 13, 2020, thanks to the skilled Professor Mikhail Leonidovich Novikov and the Medical Center “Motus” in Yaroslavl, a successful operation was performed with a favorable prognosis for complete recovery. Just a couple of days after the operation, Amali moved her fingers—imagine the joy!
Amalia was discharged home on February 17th. While some rehabilitation and possibly a second operation are ahead, the successful start gives us hope that Amalia will regain movement in her arm!
We express our immense gratitude to the Medical Center “Motus” for once again opening their doors to one of our beneficiaries. We appreciate their agreement to operate on Amalia urgently, based on a guarantee letter. Our deepest gratitude also goes to Lilit Karapetyan for her unwavering support and willingness to stand by our beneficiaries, especially in such urgent cases.
