Elina is only 2 months old, yet she has already spent 44 days inside Wigmore Hospital, undergoing numerous examinations and treatment courses. She is the family’s second child.

Elina was born with respiratory complications, and shortly after birth was transferred to Wigmore when her parents noticed lethargy and difficulty feeding. She was also born with an extra toe on her left foot, a patent foramen ovale in her heart, and microcephaly.

To understand the cause of her health problems and prescribe the right treatment, doctors must review the results of a genomic test. This test is extremely expensive, and the family cannot afford it.
