Dear friends, we are writing to update you about our ward, Sargis Harutyunyan. As you may remember, we organized a fundraiser for Sargis last year. The appeal came from his parents to our foundation, asking for help to save their son.
The fundraiser was urgent, and several events were held to raise the necessary funds. Although the amount was collected in time, many complications arose during the preparation for hospitalization. Issues included the donor’s and patient’s illnesses, treatment, and addressing poor test results. As a result, the process was delayed by more than six months. No one is immune to such setbacks, but what matters is that you were with us, and together we gave Sargis a chance for a full recovery! Nothing happens without reason.
These delays were not in vain… Doctors from Belgium came to Armenia to operate on Sargis. Unfortunately, Sargis’s indicators turned out to be poor; his nitrogen levels were high, and the medical board decided to conduct dialysis. At present (yesterday and today), Sargis is undergoing dialysis. He feels much better. Thank God! His indicators are improving, and surgery is scheduled for June 21, 2017.
We are all very worried about our boy. He, along with his loving parents, is bravely facing all the challenges. We are keeping our fingers crossed for Sargis and anxiously awaiting good news.
Thank you for your support.
