Joint Efforts for the Benefit of Improving the Quality of Education in Armenia!
The Saint Harutyun Educational Center operates in the Azatan community of the Shirak region, bringing together more than 200 individuals of various age groups, aged 4 and older, from Azatan and eight other nearby communities.
Thanks to the significant and minor contributions of the Shirak Diocese, the local community, and several benefactors and individuals, the center now serves everyone, especially offering adolescents and youth a wide range of professional orientation opportunities while supporting the formation of national and spiritual values. The center organizes Sunday School classes, book and film discussions, sewing workshops, English language courses, computer programming lessons, Armenian language and history classes, as well as meetings and discussions on various topics with representatives from different fields, Armenian studies trips, and more. The center also runs the “Handicrafts Initiative,” where participating children engage in various workshops and create handmade crafts. The plan is to transform this initiative into a social enterprise.
Through the collaboration of the Hurry for Good Foundation and VIWA, two rooms at the center have been renovated. We are pleased to announce that recently, thanks to the collaboration and donations of the Hurry for Good Foundation and the Sergey Aslanyan Foundation, the Saint Harutyun Educational Center has also been equipped with three new sewing machines. This will enable the center to expand its scope of activities and involve more adolescents, youth, and people of different age groups in sewing training programs and initiatives.
Supplementary education plays a crucial role in children’s lives. It not only develops creative and professional skills but also fosters self-confidence, broadens horizons, and opens new perspectives. We believe that such initiatives help build a brighter future for the younger generation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project. Together, we can achieve more!
