Lilit, our new beneficiary

CAMPAGNE CLOSED! THANK YOU, EVERYONE
This is Lilit, our new beneficiary.
She is 12 years old and lives in Yerevan.

When Lilit was very young, her parents noticed a small formation in the ear area. Over time, it continued to grow in size.

After consulting with doctors at a young age, Lilit underwent surgery to remove the formation to prevent it from compressing the carotid artery.

Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful – the facial nerve was accidentally damaged during the procedure, and since that day, Lilit’s face became distorted.

Upon seeing the girl’s face after the operation, her parents started looking for various ways to address this problem. In addition to aesthetic defects, due to paralyzed facial muscles, the child’s eye does not fully close, even when she sleeps. This leads to constant tearing of the eye on the affected side.

In Armenia, doctors were reluctant to undertake this complex operation. Relatives from Russia turned to the Burdenko Research Institute, from where they were directed to Yaroslavl, to Dr. Novikov M.L., who specializes in such cases. The doctor agreed to take on the treatment of the child.
The treatment consists of three stages:
Restoration of damaged nerves (the operation has been performed and was paid for by the relatives);
Transplantation of muscles to the damaged facial area (also performed, thanks to the Russian Fund);
And finally, the restoration of facial muscle function – the third operation that still needs to be performed.
At the last stage, the family, which includes two more children besides Lilit, unfortunately, does not have the means.

Lilit is an excellent student, but she has had to change schools more than once to avoid mockery and teasing from peers about her appearance.
Together with you, we want to help this beautiful girl and open a collection in the amount of 215,750.00 rubles.
Tickets for Lilit and her mother’s flight to Russia are also very much needed (~ 30,000 rubles.)
We set a goal – to close the collection in 5 days. Therefore, we welcome maximum dissemination and any informational support! June 10, 2019
