Global Armenian Summit
Today, we want to tell you about the Global Armenian Summit in which Elena Akopyan (@akopyan.elena), the president of our foundation, participated in the session titled “Diaspora in Healthcare and Social Welfare.”
From October 28th to 31st, the Global Armenian Summit took place in Yerevan. It was organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. The summit served as a platform for representatives of the diaspora and local Armenian experts to discuss challenges and issues of universal importance.
The summit’s agenda included topics such as national security, protecting Armenia’s interests, the development of strategic homeland territories, repatriation, attracting investments, safeguarding Armenian interests, healthcare, social welfare, and diaspora self-organization. Approximately 600 participants from over 50 countries, including Armenia and Artsakh, took part in the summit, representing various public, scientific, professional, business, student, and youth organizations.
We are grateful for the opportunity provided and for the organization of such a significant project.
For us, the greatest value is being a participant and a guest. But the greatest value of all is people. The people who attended the summit. The people who are changing lives. The people who can and do make Armenia and Artsakh better. The people who are willing to leave everything behind and move to their homeland to help strengthen Armenia and Artsakh. The people who wholeheartedly support Armenia and Artsakh. The people who unquestionably do tremendous work even while living in other countries. We were incredibly pleased to see many familiar faces. People who are making a significant impact.
We are confident that together, we can achieve a lot for our homeland. We have done, are doing, and will continue to do so.
