Meet Marie, an adorable 7-year-old girl. As the eldest child in her family, she has a younger sister and brother. Marie is active, positive, and very friendly. She attends school and practices rhythmic gymnastics, which keeps her physically engaged.

On July 4, 2021, Marie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This diagnosis was a challenging moment for her family, but with the support of endocrinologists and loved ones, they have adapted to a new lifestyle, making diabetes a part of their daily routine.

Marie uses a Freestyle Libre glucometer to monitor her blood sugar levels, allowing her to independently measure her sugar levels and adjust her insulin dosage. This device is crucial in preventing hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, ensuring her health and independence at school, on the playground, and during gymnastics classes.
