Harutyun Dallakyan is a 4-year-old boy who has faced numerous challenges in his short life.
Harutyun’s family was displaced due to the war that began on September 27, 2020, and they settled in the village of Yernjatap in the Aragatsotn region. When Harutyun was just six months old, he developed a severe intestinal infection. Despite receiving treatment at the Saint Astvatsamayr Medical Center, his health did not improve, and further tests revealed that he had hearing problems.

After a long series of treatments, it was discovered that there was fluid in his ears, leading to surgery at Shengavit Medical Center to remove the fluid sacs. Unfortunately, after the surgery, it became clear that his auditory nerves had been damaged. Although Harutyun wore a hearing aid, it did not help. On November 21, 2022, a cochlear implant was successfully performed at Erebuni Medical Center, and a month later, the implant was activated. Thankfully, there were no complications, and Harutyun began to hear.

However, his device’s processor was recently damaged and has been sent to the UK for repair. Additionally, certain parts of the device need periodic replacement, but the family lacks the financial means to purchase or repair them.

Currently, Harutyun’s family lives in a rented apartment in the village of Yernjatap in the Aragatsotn region. As a supporting organization, we are reaching out to kind-hearted people to help little Harutyun. While the family was able to obtain the implant with government assistance, they now need funds for repairs. Some parts are covered under warranty, but others require additional payments, and there are transportation costs as well, as noted in the medical report.
