The “Hurry for Good” Foundation visited an orphanage

Many are aware that on February 9, 2019, volunteers and friends of the “Hurry for Good” Foundation visited the city of Kolomna, at the orphanage of Saint Dimitry Donskoy and at the orphanage of Venerable Princess Euphrosyne of Moscow.
Splitting into two groups, we managed to visit two orphanages, bring necessary supplies, gifts, and sweet treats.
At first glance, the lives of children in the rehabilitation center do not differ much from their peers. A cozy home, bright rooms, a warm, “homely” atmosphere, tea gatherings around a round table.
The main reasons for children living in such homes are health problems and/or the absence of parents. And, as a rule, children in such institutions are very sensitive and vulnerable but, at the same time, open and kind.
With what care and joy they greeted us! Certainly, every child will be happy to receive a gift, but it is much more important to dedicate time to them, play their favorite game, read a story together, listen to how they play the piano, or watch how skillfully they do the splits. Also, embracing tightly, attentively listen to what is on the mind of such a child, share some instructive stories.
On behalf of the Foundation, we want to express our gratitude to all our friends who devoted their day to the children and handed them a piece of their kind hearts!
We also thank those who couldn’t join us on this day but supported us financially, contributing to the purchase of gifts and necessary items for the children!
