Paruyr dreamt of conquering his illness and pursuing his dream of becoming a programmer at the university. Since childhood, he’s been an active child, facing the constant trials posed by his medical condition.

From the tender age of 3 months, he confronted a series of serious infections. Following examinations, a rare genetic diagnosis was uncovered: Common variable immunodeficiency. This condition stems from an irregular formation of immune cells, leading to a significant decrease in immunity. The treatment for this condition necessitates replacement therapy in the form of immunoglobulins. Paruyr requires this medication every 3 months, with each session involving 40 grams of the immunoglobulin-based drug Octagam.

Through your incredible support, we successfully secured the funds needed for Paruyr’s life-altering journey. The initial treatment included obtaining the essential Octagam medication.

Over the years, Paruyr has spent more time in the hospital than at home. Each return home was marked by intensified pain, necessitating another round of medical intervention.

For the first treatment, we acquired the Octagam medication, totaling 2,032,000 dram. Our goal comprised two phases of therapy, with funds raised reaching a total of 4,064,000 dram (655,000 rubles).

Updates 20-11-2022: The first phase of treatment is complete. Today, the administration of Octagam began for Paruyr. While the process may be uncomfortable, his smile remains bright. Over a span of 24 hours, his body will receive 40 grams of the medication, bolstering his immune system. This marks the initial step of a longer treatment journey. The medication will need to be administered every 3 months.

At present, we’ve temporarily paused our fundraising efforts, with plans to resume early in the new year.
