Light the Fire in the Hearts of Children: 2021

In 2021, together with you, we successfully concluded a very important campaign aimed at supporting kindergartens in Artsakh. Through collective efforts, we were able to improve the conditions for children in 7 kindergartens located in border villages and in the city of Stepanakert.

Now, we want to show you videos and numbers to give you a clear picture of the extent of the work that was accomplished – and it’s all thanks to you. Every word of gratitude in this video is directed to each volunteer and donor, to every partner.

Let’s look at the numbers:

September 7th marked the beginning of the fundraising campaign
7 kindergartens participated in the project
333 children attend these kindergartens
673,194.56 rubles were collected through the foundation’s requisites
392,780.00 rubles were received from donors
The campaign was closed on September 28th
A total of 1,065,974.56 rubles was spent to purchase all the necessary items

The purchased goods were distributed by volunteers with the support of the Humanitarian Response Center of the Russian Peacekeeping Contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Association of Charitable Organizations “Mercy.”Additionally, as part of the “Light the Fire in the Hearts of Children” campaign, we visited the Caroline Cox Rehabilitation Center in Stepanakert, where the necessary equipment was handed over to the children from us and humanitarian aid was delivered from our friendly partner, the Dr. Lisa Foundation (@doktor.liza) represented by Natalia Avilova (@avilyshka).Furthermore, the Russian Humanitarian Mission (@rh_mission) provided art literature to School No. 3 named after A.S. Griboedov to allow the children to use educational materials and become acquainted with Russian classics.

Despite all the obstacles, the pain of loss, and the fear, hope continues to remain with us that the spark will ignite once again – and these are our children, the Children of Armenia.
