A New Beginning for Little Narek

Some stories start with heartbreak — but thanks to you, this one is ending with hope.

Just a short time ago, three-year-old Narek was facing a life-threatening challenge. After a tragic accident, he suffered severe internal burns that damaged his esophagus, pancreas, and stomach. He couldn’t eat or swallow properly, and despite receiving care at Muratsan Hospital and later at St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center, his condition showed no signs of improvement. The only solution was a highly complex surgery — and it had to happen fast.

But because of you, it did.

Together — with the incredible support of our community and in collaboration with the IMAST app — we raised 1 million AMD to cover the full cost of the operation. On December 14, Narek underwent coloesophagoplasty — a delicate procedure performed by the amazing Dr. Dallakyan, with the help of Professor Razumovsky, who traveled from Moscow specifically to assist.

And now, we are so happy to share that the surgery was a success.

Narek’s mother wrote to us:

“My son’s surgery went wonderfully, and his recovery has been just as smooth. He’s feeling well, eating normally, and able to swallow again. I’m deeply thankful to the doctors — especially Dr. Dallakyan and Professor Razumovsky — for their incredible work. And to you, the team who stood by us, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
