A Magical New Year’s Gift: Life-Changing Treatment for Four Children

As the year came to an end, we had the touching opportunity to do something truly special. Thanks to the generous support of the Lira Foundation, we were able to arrange essential medical treatment for four children. Their cases were brought to our attention by the Wigmore Clinic, and through the collective efforts of all involved, these children received the urgent medical care they needed.

Meet the children we helped:

🔹 Timofey – At the end of December, Timofey developed a dangerously high fever. Despite seeking medical help, his condition worsened, leading to serious complications. He was eventually hospitalized at the Wigmore Clinic, where doctors suspected sepsis. He spent 10 days in intensive care and another five days in a general ward before being discharged. While his condition has improved, he continues treatment for kidney stones and requires ongoing medical supervision. The cost of treatment is 225000AMD.

🔹 Smbat – Born with spastic diplegia, Smbat has undergone multiple treatments and surgeries to improve his mobility. In January 2025, he had another crucial surgery at the Wigmore Clinic, which included a bilateral distal femoral osteotomy with metal plate and screw fixation, as well as a distal three-step intra-articular tibial osteotomy with similar fixation to correct gait and limb deformities. The cost of treatment is 950000AMD.

🔹Rafael was diagnosed with growth retardation. To determine the further course of treatment, a growth hormone level test was conducted, based on which he was prescribed the necessary therapy. He is currently receiving treatment and is feeling well. The cost of treatment is 25000AMD.

🔹 Shahen – Shahen suffered a ruptured appendix, which led to serious complications. After receiving emergency care in Goris, he was transferred to Yerevan for a second surgery. His recovery required a prolonged hospital stay, but today, he is on the mend. His family is incredibly grateful to the medical team and the kind donor who helped make his treatment possible. The cost of treatment is 300000AMD.
