From Moscow to Her Roots: Returning Home

Although Elena grew up in Moscow, her heart has always belonged to Armenia. Her Armenian roots, the love of her family, and the support of the diaspora helped her maintain a deep connection to her homeland. In 2022, she made the life-changing decision to return to Armenia, feeling that her help was most needed there.

“I just realized that Armenia needed me. Moving back to my homeland, I knew I could be much more effective,” says Elena.

This return gave her the chance to see the country’s challenges firsthand and connect more closely with those the foundation supports. It enabled her to develop a more systematic and effective approach to providing aid.

A Foundation That Changes Lives

Since its founding in 2011, the “Hurry for Good” Foundation has focused on helping children with severe illnesses, supporting residents of border villages, and working with orphanages and shelters. Special attention is given to educational initiatives that shape Armenia’s future.

One of the foundation’s most remarkable acts of dedication came during the 44-day war, when aid was provided to over 40,000 people. Elena emphasizes that this achievement was made possible by the united efforts of volunteers whose warmth, professionalism, and love permeate every project.

For Elena, charity is above all about human values:
“Charity isn’t always about money. It’s about our time, genuine desire to help, our experience, and connections,” she believes.
