Mariana Has Taken Another Important Step Towards a Healthy Future Thanks to Your Support
12-year-old Mariana is a kind and sociable girl who loves reading, embroidery, and dancing. She dreams of becoming a nurse and learning to perform Armenian traditional dances.
Mariana has been diagnosed with achondroplasia. Throughout her life, she has faced numerous challenges, undergone multiple complex surgeries, and received extensive medical treatment, including limb-lengthening procedures. As a result of this long and challenging treatment, her lower legs have been lengthened by 8 cm, her upper arms by 8 cm, and her femurs by 9 cm.
Following her most recent surgery, Mariana sustained a fracture of her right femur, which required an additional surgical intervention.
Thanks to the cooperation between the charitable foundation Hurry to Do Good and the IMAST app, a fundraising campaign was organized to cover the cost of the necessary surgery. With the generous support of donors, the required amount of AMD 1,500,000 was successfully raised, enabling Mariana to undergo the operation.
During the surgery, fixation devices were also implanted. Mariana is currently under medical supervision, and the possibility and timing of their removal will be determined based on the results of medical examinations scheduled for November.
Mariana continues her journey with remarkable strength, patience, and faith in her dreams. She is now looking forward to the next stage of her treatment and, hopefully, taking further steps towards a healthier and more active life.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the IMAST app for its cooperation and assistance in organizing the fundraising campaign, as well as to all the donors for their generosity, trust, and support. Thanks to your kindness, Mariana received the necessary surgery and was able to take another important step towards a healthier future and the dreams she holds dear.
