Another Important Step on Kamila’s Journey to Treatment
11-year-old Kamila is a unique and incredibly strong little girl. Despite her young age, she has already faced challenges that not every adult would be able to overcome.
Kamila has been diagnosed with achondroplasia. Ilizarov apparatuses were installed on her lower legs and arms to lengthen her limbs and help her become taller. Following the installation of the apparatuses, Kamila’s lower legs were lengthened by 10 cm and her arms by 8 cm. Now, she is facing another very important surgery — femoral lengthening, which is yet another serious and responsible surgical procedure. Kamila still has a long journey ahead of her. Her surgery is scheduled for November, and at this stage, professional support and the care of all of us are especially important for her.
Thanks to the fundraising campaign organized in cooperation with the “Hurry to Do Good” Foundation and the IMAST app, we successfully raised the required amount of 1,775,092 AMD, ensuring that Kamila receives the necessary medical care and preparation for her upcoming surgery.
We would like to thank the IMAST app and all supporters for their assistance, cooperation, and trust. Your contribution is essential to Kamila’s treatment process and the successful completion of her upcoming surgery.
